Industry Process and Essential Equipment

The industry is involved in the manufacturing of Ecophon Ceiling Tiles. While the detailed process is not explicitly described, the mention of equipment like Sanding Machines, Laminators, Length Saws, Cross Saws, Painting Machines, and Drying Ovens indicates a manufacturing process involving cutting, shaping, finishing, and drying operations. Essential equipment for this industry would include:

  • Sanding Machines, Laminators, Saws, Painting Machines: These are crucial for the various stages of ceiling tile production, from shaping and lamination to surface finishing and painting.
  • Drying Ovens: Essential for curing and drying the ceiling tiles, ensuring their structural integrity and performance.
  • Bag Filters: These are vital air pollution control measures to capture particulate matter generated during sanding, lamination, and other processes, ensuring compliance with air quality standards.
  • Activated Carbon Filter Fume Control System: Important for controlling fumes from drying ovens, suggesting the presence of volatile organic compounds or other gaseous emissions in the drying process.
  • Acoustic Enclosures: Necessary for mitigating noise pollution from process machines, ovens, compressors, and DG sets, ensuring a healthy working environment and compliance with noise level standards.
  • Sewage and Effluent Treatment Plants (STP & ETP): Crucial for managing and treating wastewater generated from the manufacturing process and domestic use, ensuring discharge standards are met and treated water can be reused.
  • Electromagnetic Flow Meters (EMFMs) with automatic recording and display systems: These are essential for accurate measurement and monitoring of sewage and trade effluent discharge and treated water reception, facilitating real-time data for compliance.
  • Continuous Sewage and Effluent Quality Monitoring Analyzer: For real-time monitoring of parameters like pH, BOD, COD, and TSS in the STP & ETP, critical for industries with high wastewater generation.

Special Additional Conditions:

  • The unit shall obtain No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Tamil Nadu Bio Diversity Board /National Bio Diversity Authority if the unit is using any Biological resources or knowledge associated thereto as per the provisions of Biological Diversity Act 2002.
  • The industries shall take all efforts to use and popularize “Mission LiFE” logo and mascot which is available in TNPCB & MOEFCC website. They shall also request their employees to adopt “Mission LiFE” action points and document the same and furnish half yearly report to Board. 64646464
